Welcome to our Blog!

This is me….I’m Lucy and I don’t really know how to explain myself really. The main point is that I am the sucker for punishment that is not only now home educating 3 children, as well as working and trying to finish off a degree in Psychology; I also thought it’d be a fab idea to document everything we do online in order to inspire, learn and connect with other people. I am constantly doing something completely unplanned and out-of-the-box, and I’m extremely determined…sometimes this can come off as quite wearing to others as once I am interested in something I live it. I am a sling consultant, breastfeeding advocate previously trained with The Breastfeeding Network but no longer volunteering, and a (very shy) musician.

I was that child that always felt a bit different, wasn’t into the same things as everyone else and didn’t really fit in with people at school….I was definitely a ‘play by invitation only’ sort of child. I did struggle through my teenage years with various issues which I categorically put down to a number of negative experiences I had throughout my schooling years which came to a head during senior school. These issues did affect me for a few years but from them, as well as the experience of motherhood; I have grown a steely determination and drive to push past the machine that I feel we are boxed into.

I’m the taxi driver, photographer, event manager, and main source of absolutely ‘nutty’ in the house.

This is Craig….

He is the other sucker for punishment that has found himself now in the scope of home ed. Craig was the one who initially said to me that he didn’t want our children to ever experience senior school, which really is what planted the seed of what is now sprouting!

Although we now have 3 children together and all the typical family stuff that comes with kids; we are quite different which in some ways is quite handy. Craig is the tech head, he is the one who will be editing any YouTube videos we make. He’s also fantastic at making sure the car is packed safely, fitting the car seats and making curries 😀 He’s responsible for looking at me like a disapproving librarian (he genuinely does, and agreed I could add that comment haha), because I’ve spent the last sort of ish 8 years dragging him along on my random adventures….a 780-mile road trip through Wales for example.

We met at kickboxing, had our eldest in 2012, and have for the most part happily, occasionally begrudgingly; ‘debated’ who’s bed-starfish is the biggest ever since.

P.S He says it’s me…I blame the baby :’)
